Job summary

Apex-Park-and-Recreation-Distric is seeking a part-time maintenance helper to assist full-time facility maintenance specialists with plumbing, electrical, carpentry and other basic tasks. The role supports District Services to keep facilities functioning daily.

You will lift 50–75 lbs regularly, work Monday to Thursday 7am–12pm, and use hand and power tools. A high school diploma or current student status and a Colorado driver's license are required; comfort with basic computer and workflow

Qualifications

• Knowledge of safe maintenance practices.
• Ability to follow instructions and stay on task.
• Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools necessary to perform basic carpentry, electrical, mechanical & plumbing repairs / maintenance work.
• Be able to lift 50 – 75 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to work in adverse conditions and work on short timetables.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to navigate and operate workflow computer management software(s).
• Must be 18 or older.
• High School diploma or equivalent or current student.
• Must possess current and valid Colorado driver's license.

• Work may take place in both indoor and outdoor environments, with exposure to varying weather conditions including sun, heat, cold, snow, and humidity.
• The position may involve exposure to cleaning chemicals, chemically treated water, or other environmental irritants.
• Occasional travel by vehicle may be required, with exposure to traffic, road construction, and varying road conditions.
