KPC Promise Hospital of PHOENIX: Maintenance - Skilled Craftsman

The Maintenance - Skilled Craftsman is responsible for maintaining and repairing the physical plant to ensure safety and efficiency. Responsibilities include:

1. Performing work requests and preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment.
2. Maintaining hospital electrical systems, non-clinical hospital equipment, kitchen equipment, heating, and air conditioning systems.
3. Performing basic plumbing repairs.
4. Assisting the materials manager with supplies and medical equipment repairs.
5. Conducting inspections and environment of care rounds.
6. Coordinating with contractors and performing other duties as assigned.
7. Serving as Life Safety officer and orienting new employees to building, utility systems, and fire safety.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Experience in construction and mechanical equipment; hospital experience preferred.
3. Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English, with good communication skills.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

Physical: Walking (up to 60%), Standing (up to 50%), Kneeling (up to 4%), Sitting (up to 30%), Pushing (up to 30%), Bending (up to 4%), Squatting (up to 40%), Pulling (up to 40%), Reaching (up to 50%), Lifting (up to 50 lbs.), Wrist/Finger Movements (up to 90%).
