St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport employs more than 3,200 staff. It includes a 473-bed community teaching hospital, a 76-bed inpatient psychiatric facility in Westport, a large multispecialty provider group, and special needs services for adults and children. Job Summary:

• Assists with the maintenance of equipment, systems, and structures.

Responsibilities:

• Assists with testing, inspection, implementation, and maintenance of equipment, systems, and structures.
• Performs minor repairs and replacements, such as replacing light bulbs and fire extinguishers, as needed.
• Receives and distributes materials throughout the facility.
• Moves items within/between locations and to/from storage, including furniture, equipment, and files.
• Performs light carpentry, including wall & door repair, sheetrock repair, and installation.
• Performs light electrical work, such as replacing bulbs, ballasts, switches, and fixtures.
• Performs light plumbing tasks, including clearing sinks, toilets, drain lines, and removing/installing fixtures like faucets, sinks, and toilets.
• Performs interior and exterior painting.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Required Credential: Valid driver’s license from the Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles, obtained prior to hire or transfer.

Work Experience: At least 2 years of maintenance experience.
