Job summary

Republic Services in Waynesboro, TN is seeking a Maintenance Shop Technician C to perform basic preventive maintenance and minor repairs on our fleet of diesel and non-diesel equipment. Under supervision, you will help keep trucks running smoothly and support drivers on their routes.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of hands-on experience, a basic understanding of vehicle systems, and the ability to follow SOPs and troubleshoot common faults. ASE/T8 PM is a plus.

Qualifications

• Completion of a certified diesel maintenance program is a plus but not required.
• ASE Certification T8 PM is a plus but not required.
• 1–3 years of experience in vehicle maintenance.
• Ability to follow SOPs and troubleshoot common faults.

Responsibilities

• Maintains basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical vehicle systems for preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Perform oil changes, fluids replenishment, tire changes, and light repairs.
• Conduct basic electrical work and identify malfunction sources using standard tools.
• Complete company training programs and follow SOPs.
