Job summary

Arlington Properties is hiring a Maintenance Service Technician at the Zen City Center in Troy, MI. This full-time role involves keeping units and common areas in top condition, addressing work orders promptly, and performing HVAC, plumbing, electrical, painting, and appliance repairs as needed.

You will help prepare vacant apartments, maintain outdoor spaces, and participate in seasonal tasks while delivering quality service to residents and supporting safety and compliance across the property.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–5 years of hands-on maintenance experience (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, etc.).
• Proficiency in at least one major trade area preferred (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
• EPA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vacant apartments to market-ready condition.
• Handle work orders with skill and urgency.
• Perform general maintenance including light plumbing, electrical, painting, HVAC support, and appliance repair.
• Keep grounds and common areas clean and inviting.
• Support preventative maintenance and inspections.
• Assist with snow removal, pool upkeep and seasonal tasks.
• Be on-call for emergency maintenance needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent


• 1–5 years of hands‑on maintenance experience (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, etc.)


• Proficiency in at least one major trade area


• EPA certification preferred


• Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and reliable transportation


• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs, climb ladders, and work outdoors in all conditions


• Excellent communication and professionalism with residents and team members


• Available to work flexible schedules, including weekends and on‑call shifts
