Arlington Properties is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform a variety of maintenance tasks that maintain and enhance the value of our residential properties. Key Responsibilities:
  1. Apartment Preparation: Prepare vacant apartments to a market-ready condition, ensuring all units meet company standards.
  2. Maintenance Duties: Perform routine and preventive maintenance tasks, including light bulb changes, filter replacements, lock repairs, painting, minor HVAC repairs, pool maintenance, and more.
  3. Resident Requests: Respond to resident service requests in a timely and professional manner.
  4. On-Call Services: Be available for on-call and after-hours emergency maintenance services as needed.
  5. Teamwork: Collaborate with the Maintenance Director/Supervisor and fellow staff to complete special projects and maintain community standards.
  6. Groundskeeping: Assist in keeping the community grounds and common areas clean and free of debris.
  7. Professionalism: Maintain a courteous and professional attitude when interacting with residents, co-workers, and the general public.

  1. Experience in general maintenance, including minor HVAC repairs, painting, plumbing, and preventative maintenance.

Qualifications

Knowledge/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Ability to read, write and do simple math is essential and ability to use a computer is preferred. Trade school and/or military training a plus. One to five years verifiable hands-on general maintenance experience (i.e., plumbing, electrical, carpeting, painting, etc.) is preferred with proficiency in at least one major area.

Machines, Tools and Equipment, Software: Hand tools normally used in construction, maintenance and landscaping including, but not limited to, hedge trimmer, power floor cleaner, carpet shampoo machine, paint sprayer, power drain cleaner, chain saw, key machine, and all chemicals associated with maintenance and landscaping essential job functions. Motorized vehicles.

Licenses/Certificates: Valid driver’s license along with good driving record with auto insurance required. EPA certifiable status is preferred.

Other Requirements: As an Arlington Properties associate, you are expected to wear clothing and accessories appropriate for a professional environment, including uniforms if required. Refer to Arlington Properties Dress Code Guidelines for additional information. Must be able to work any of the seven days of the week as necessary.

Physical and Visual Activities: Inside and outside work in all weather conditions, medium to heavy physical activity including standing, walking, climbing, working at heights, stooping, kneeling, crouching, lifting up to 100 pounds, and carrying up to 50 pounds. Good eye/hand coordination and color perception are essential. Must be able to lift and work with heavy equipment.
