Job summary

RichSmith Management is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Service Technician to join our team at our North Little Rock community. If you're an experienced maintenance professional with HVAC/EPA certification, this fast-paced, hands‑on role offers variety and growth.

You will perform repairs on apartments and common areas, handle requests promptly, and participate in on‑call rotations. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health, retirement, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of related maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of HVAC troubleshooting, appliance repair, plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems, and irrigation.
• HVAC or EPA Certification preferred; on-call duties required.

Responsibilities

• Performing routine and major maintenance repairs for apartments, common areas, and grounds.
• Handling service requests promptly (goal: within one business day).
• Completing turnkey work for vacant units—paint, repairs, lock changes, inspections, and vendor coordination.
• Maintaining an organized, stocked maintenance shop.
• Performing preventive maintenance inspections on all systems and structures.
• Maintaining pool equipment, landscaping, irrigation systems, and exterior areas.
• Participating in on‑call rotations for 24‑hour emergency maintenance.
• Ensuring compliance with the Fair Housing Act and company standards at all times.

What We're Looking For

• Must be available for on‑call duty for emergencies

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 75 lbs., bend, stoop, and reach overhead for extended periods.
