Role Summary

Performs skilled maintenance duties related to facility engineering and maintenance functions, including construction, repair, and system diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Constructs, maintains, and repairs electrical and mechanical systems.
• Diagnoses malfunctions in HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems, among others.
• Leads project teams and teaches maintenance skills.
• Oversees fleet maintenance and reviews work of outside vendors.
• Reads blueprints and specifications; maintains logs and performs inspections.
• Responds to emergency repairs and suggests system improvements.
• Participates as a member of the facility's emergency response team.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of maintenance experience in an institutional setting.
• Specialization in one trade with a valid Journeyman's license (Electrical, Plumbing, etc.).
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and specifications.
