Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate state vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Oversees a maintenance section to keep major roadways and rights-of-way safe.
• Plans, coordinates, and implements emergency response to inclement weather, flooding, accidents, and spills.
• Prepares and monitors the budget for the maintenance section.
• Prioritizes and assigns projects to crews; ensures safety guidelines are followed.
• Trains other employees and handles maintenance section office activities.
