Job summary

Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Fort Worth District seeks a Transportation Maintenance Crew Chief for the Stephenville Maintenance Office. You will lead a crew, coordinate personnel and equipment, and support daily operations to keep roadways safe and reliable.

We offer comprehensive benefits, CDL training with lodging and per-diem if needed, and opportunities for growth within TxDOT. Onsite work in Stephenville with travel as required.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equivalent.
• 5 years experience in roadway maintenance; substitution by related education or training considered.
• Must have Class A Commercial Driver's License with N endorsement at time of application.
• Safety Impact Certificate and Commercial Driver Certificate are mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Lead a crew of transportation maintenance technicians and equipment operators.
• Schedule daily work assignments and supervise field crews.
• Coordinate labor, materials and equipment for maintenance projects.
• Assist in administration of the maintenance section and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Train crew members on equipment operation and safety procedures.
