Scheduler/Planner, Maintenance-AB
Responsible for end-to-end maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution coordination to ensure plant assets are maintained in a safe, compliant, and reliable state. Owns the maintenance planning function within SAP, including work order management, preventative maintenance execution, spare parts planning, and procurement activities. Collaborates closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain to optimize resource utilization, support capacity and long-term planning, and proactively improve equipment reliability and uptime across the facility.
Responsibilities
- Plan and schedule corrective, preventive, and project maintenance activities in SAP, coordinating internal labor, contractors, and shutdown resources to optimize execution and utilization.
- Ensure all planning and scheduling activities comply with SOPs, safety requirements, ethical standards, and cGMP regulations to maintain audit readiness.
- Serve as the primary planning and scheduling interface for assigned production areas, aligning maintenance execution with manufacturing priorities and capacity constraints.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Reliability to resolve scheduling conflicts, improve plan quality, and support efficient maintenance execution.
- Incorporate equipment criticality, process knowledge, and operational constraints into maintenance plans to minimize impact to production and product supply.
- Communicate risks, conflicts, and deviations from approved plans, including impacts to safety, compliance, reliability, and production schedules.
- Own the maintenance work order backlog for assigned areas, including prioritization, aging management, and PM compliance tracking; provide visibility to overdue work and deferrals.
- Coordinate with production planning to secure maintenance windows that balance operational needs with asset reliability.
- Develop detailed work packages within SAP, including creation of task lists, labor estimates, material kits, spare parts reservations, and external service requirements to enable right‑first‑time execution.
- Manage maintenance notifications and preventive maintenance work orders, ensuring accurate SAP data to support reliability tracking and reporting.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 5 years in maintenance trades.
- 2 years with ERP software.
- Pharmaceutical or regulated industry experience.
- Experience with SAP.
- Experience with scheduling tools.
- Ability to read plant and production schedules.
- Analytical, logistical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Basic exchange of information.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to influence change and manage outcomes.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged sitting and standing.
- Ability to lift 60 pounds unassisted.

- Must be able to move throughout the facility as needed.
- Must obtain and maintain aseptic gown certification for working/troubleshooting in aseptic manufacturing environments.
- Travel less than 10%.

Compensation & Benefits
Hiring wage: $39.57 – $53.54 per hour, with opportunities for growth, promotion, and annual raises. Benefits begin on day one and include FSA/HSA, life and AD&D insurance, short‑term and long‑term disability insurance, employee assistance program, and other standard benefits.
