Job summary

Allure of Sterling is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to help plan, organize, and direct the Maintenance Department to keep the facility safe and comfortable. Hours are 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, Monday–Friday, with pay of $20.00–$22.00 per hour.

The role involves coordinating maintenance with other departments and supporting safety programs. Responsibilities include assisting in preventive maintenance, repairing facilities, inspecting areas, and ensuring proper use of protective equipment.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school education or its equivalent.
• Knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators, and various mechanical, electrical & plumbing systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Ability to make independent decisions when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate maintenance services and activities with other departments and report to Administrator.
• Assist in establishing a preventive maintenance program.
• Repair facility or resident property and coordinate with outside vendors as needed.
• Identify and classify routine maintenance tasks, including safety-related ones.
• Inspect storage areas and supply rooms for upkeep and control.
• Participate in facility surveys and develop plans of correction.
