Job summary

Cedar Point is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform inspections, lubrication, troubleshooting, and repair of rides and devices at the park. You will work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays, and must be able to meet business needs.

The role is full-time, year-round, union, with hourly pay of $30.00. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, own hand tools, and the ability to work at heights while following safety manuals and blueprints.

Qualifications

• Experience with electronic, electrical, and mechanical work preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for mechanical maintenance of amusement rides and devices.
• Operate machine shop equipment as needed.
• Notify maintenance of equipment problems to ensure safe operation.
• Read and understand checklists and instruction manuals.
• Maintain inventory of equipment and daily logs of inspections and repairs.
• Assist in inspections, maintenance, lubrication, and repairs including bearings and oil changes.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all mechanical maintenance in regards to amusement rides and devices.
• Operate machine shop equipment
• Notify maintenance of equipment problems, building repairs, etc. necessary to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Read and understand checklists, instruction manuals, etc.
• Maintain inventory of equipment.
• Assist in the inspection, routine maintenance, lubrication, and repairs of rides as instructed including replacement of bearings, wheels, miscellaneous parts, and oil changes.
• Maintain daily log sheets of inspections and repairs performed.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• High school graduate or GED.
• Must provide own hand tools.
• Must join Laborers Union.
• Good record and writing skills.
• Able to work at heights, including from catwalks, aerial lifts, crane baskets, scaffolding, and structure climb.
• Ability to demonstrate experience in electronic, electrical, and mechanical work.
• Mechanical aptitude and experience with hand tools.
• Ability to follow manufacturer's manuals and blue prints.
• Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
• Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
