Job summary

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as Maintenance Repairman 1 or four years of building/plant maintenance with at least two trades.
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the required knowledges, skills, and abilities.
• Valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled work on concrete forms, stone structures, wooden partitions, and other structural features.
• Measure, cut, fit and construct concrete forms and wooden structures.
• Mix, place and finish concrete for walls, culverts, and similar structures.
• Cut, fit, grout, and point stone for maintenance projects.
• Use hand tools and motorized equipment to complete tasks.
• Follow safety rules and report hazards to maintain a safe work environment.

Examples of duties

This position performs skilled work on concrete forms, stone structures, wooden partitions, and other structural features while supporting safe and efficient maintenance operations. As a Maintenance Repairman 2, you will perform the following duties:

• Skilled Trades: Measure, cut, fit and construct concrete forms, and wooden structures
• Concrete Work: Mix, place and finish concrete for walls, culverts, and similar structures
• Stone Masonry: Cut, fit, grout, and point stone for required maintenance projects
• Tool Operation: Use hand tools and motorized equipment to complete assigned work
• Safety Awareness: Follow safety rules, report hazards and maintain a safe work environment
• Crew Support: Assist coworkers, operate vehicles, and complete tasks as directed

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Travel, overtime, and shift work required. Work hours subject to change based on seasonal requirements and operational needs.
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
• Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $41,506 (before taxes).

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.

Special Requirements:

• This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.
