Job summary

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a Winter Maintenance Repairman 1 in Clearfield County. Join PennDOT to support building and equipment maintenance, performing repairs across trades, and helping keep facilities safe and functional during the winter season.

You will work with experienced staff on plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and grounds tasks, with a 7:00 AM–3:00 PM schedule, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in general maintenance work involving at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades.
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the required knowledges, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Building repairs across electrical, plumbing, roofing and heating systems.
• Carpentry tasks: install fixtures, repair doors, build forms, and interior finish work.
• Grounds work: maintain lawns, snow removal, prune trees, and outdoor upkeep.
• Tool operation using hand tools, power tools, and equipment to complete maintenance tasks.
• Facility support: assist with stockpile assessments, meetings, and fire drills.
• General duties: clean work areas, follow schedules, restock supplies, and maintain safe work practices.
