Job summary

Ohio Department of Youth Services (DYS) seeks a Maintenance Repair Worker 3 (MRW3) to perform semi-skilled and skilled maintenance, lead youth workers, and ensure preventive maintenance at the Indian River Juvenile Correctional Facility in Massillon, OH.

The role requires a minimum of 12 months' maintenance repair experience or training, a valid CDL if operating certain equipment, and strong teamwork and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• 12 months' training or 12 months' experience in maintenance repair including basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry and use of related tools.
• Valid commercial driver's license if motor equipment is regulated by law.
• Knowledge and ability to lead and train youth workers as a lead worker.

Responsibilities

• Lead youth workers in semi-skilled and skilled maintenance tasks.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and inspections of facilities.
• Repair doors, locks, cabinets, windows, plumbing fixtures, and other building components.
• Operate machine tools and welding equipment for repairs to metal parts.
