Job summary

Simmons Foods is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead a technical team of Mechanics, Technicians and Maintenance Planners in a food manufacturing setting. You will drive reliability improvements, manage budgets, and implement preventive/predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend asset life.

Responsibilities include establishing maintenance schedules, coordinating large installations, developing new processes with management, and mentoring staff while aligning with our LEAN

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in maintenance plus 2 years manager level experience.
• Demonstrate and share knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical, safety and preventative maintenance programs.
• Computer skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Establishes maintenance schedules and reduces downtime; directs mechanical repair and RCA-based decisions.
• Develops and sustains new processes with management; drives consistency and standards in Planner/Scheduler teams.
• Directs scheduling, planning and coordination of major equipment installations and coordinates outside contractors.
• Implements a work order system for daily tasks, weekly preventive maintenance, and asset history tracking.
• Provides technical leadership for proactive maintenance and KPI tracking; improves maintenance programs.
• Manages employees; oversees hiring, performance, and discipline in collaboration with HR.
