Job summary

Ashland LLC in Freetown, MA seeks a Maintenance Manager to lead site maintenance, reliability, and asset performance. You will drive predictive maintenance, coordinate a multidisciplinary team, and coordinate with Operations to minimize downtime and costs.

You will implement maintenance programs aligned with safety and regulatory standards, oversee budget, and mentor staff to sustain world‑class reliability across utilities and production equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
• 5+ years maintenance and reliability in an industrial/manufacturing setting.
• 3+ years leadership of multi-disciplinary maintenance teams.
• Strong knowledge of predictive maintenance technologies.
• Experience implementing reliability-centered, preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Understanding of utilities, boilers, pressure systems, and industrial infrastructure.
• Experience using CMMS like Maximo for work management and reliability analysis.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide transformational leadership for site maintenance and reliability, establishing ownership and proactive failure prevention.
• Develop and improve a comprehensive reliability and maintenance strategy with predictive technologies and data-driven decisions.
• Maintain site infrastructure, utilities, and equipment to ensure safe, compliant operations with minimal downtime.
• Lead and develop a diverse maintenance team including E&I, electricians, mechanics, planners, and boiler techs.
• Set performance expectations, processes, and accountability for maintenance execution and scheduling.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, EHS, and Supply Chain to prioritize work and manage risk.
• Oversee planning and scheduling to optimize resources and contractor support.
• Lead troubleshooting and coordinate resources to restore safe operation.
• Champion root cause analysis and corrective actions to prevent repeats.
• Own asset lifecycle management including spare parts and obsolescence planning.
• Ensure safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance for maintenance activities.
