Job summary

Smart4Sciences in Cleveland seeks an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance and reliability across the site. You will drive safety, continuous improvement and team development while ensuring reliable production.

Responsibilities include managing a 24/7 maintenance footprint, leading a team of supervisors and technicians, and partnering with Engineering on capital projects to optimize asset performance and uptime.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management or a related technical discipline.
• 5–10+ years of maintenance experience, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Experience leading maintenance teams in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of PSM, MOC, RCA and asset reliability.
• Experience working with CMMS and maintenance performance metrics.
• Technical knowledge across equipment and systems including PLCs, boilers, chillers, cooling towers, and more.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance across production equipment, machinery and facilities.
• Develop and implement maintenance strategies to maximize uptime and reliability.
• Lead RCA after equipment failures and implement long-term corrective actions.
• Manage maintenance through a CMMS, including work orders and inventory.
• Develop and maintain a rolling 3-year maintenance plan.
• Lead and mentor a team of supervisors, engineers and technicians.
• Coordinate 24/7 maintenance scheduling and resources as needed.
• Develop and manage the annual maintenance budget and contractor spend.
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining safety and performance.
• Ensure maintenance activities meet PSM requirements and safety protocols.
• Promote a safety-first culture with LOTO, PPE, audits and risk assessments.
• Drive reliability and continuous improvement using OEE, MTBF, MTTR and KPIs.
• Collaborate with Engineering on capital projects and site improvements.
