Job summary

Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) is accepting applications for a Maintenance Ranger at Natural Bridge State Park. The role involves routine care of facilities, grounds, trails, and restrooms, plus basic equipment maintenance and safe operation of tools.

Candidates should have experience with grounds work and basic hand/power tools, be able to lift up to 50 lbs, and work varied shifts including weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience performing grounds care and/or landscaping.
• Experience with basic hand and power tools.
• Experience cleaning restrooms and/or facilities.
• Must be able to perform manual labor in outdoor conditions, lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Care for grounds, mowing and restroom cleaning, stocking supplies.
• Use hand tools and cleaning tools (hammers, saws, pruners, etc.).
• Operate power tools and equipment including mowers, tractors, weed eaters, pressure washer.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment.
• Interact with the public and provide information.
• Work varying shifts including weekends, holidays, and nights.
