Job summary

The Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) is hiring a Maintenance Ranger for Douthat State Park. Maintenance Rangers focus on the daily upkeep of park facilities and grounds and support basic upkeep across the park.

Responsibilities include cleaning restrooms and facilities, trash removal, and grounds maintenance; while carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and masonry tasks are not required but helpful.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of basic care and use of hand tools, power tools, and cleaning supplies.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather; weekends, holidays, and night shifts; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Restroom and facilities cleaning, trash removal, grounds maintenance.
• Assist carpentry, plumbing, electrical, masonry tasks (not required but helpful).
• Must be willing to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions and flexible shifts including weekends, holidays, and nights.
