Job summary

The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) is seeking an Engineer II (NS) to provide budgetary and administrative support to the Division Maintenance staff in North Carolina. The role involves preparing monthly budget reports, tracking expenses, maintaining databases, and assisting with budgeting and contracts across maintenance functions.

You will also monitor the Division's Secondary Road Construction program, support development of new contracts, and help ensure policy

Qualifications

• Experience writing memos, reports, and emails clearly conveying technical information to division personnel and contractors.
• Ability to plan, develop, schedule, track, and complete projects with limited supervision.
• Proficient use of computer tools and mathematical functions; data management experience.

Responsibilities

• Support division maintenance budgets and WBS numbers with regular reports.
• Assist with budgeting, tracking expenditures, and reporting analyses.
• Develop new contracts for maintenance functions and administer ID/IQ contracts.
