Job summary

Los Alamos National Security LLC is seeking a Maintenance Support Specialist to assist with maintenance planning, scheduling, and CMMS support within Facility Operations. The role may be filled at MSS 2 or MSS 3 level depending on the candidate’s skills and experience.

The position emphasizes interpreting regulations, auditing performance data, maintaining databases, and ensuring proper document control and records management while supporting the maintenance work execution schedule.

Qualifications

• Ability to conceptualize and professionally communicate elements of facility maintenance processes supporting stakeholders, in verbal and written formats.
• Working knowledge of policy and strategy performance assurance, metrics, and enforcement; document control and records management.
• Experience in conducting research, investigating solutions, and presenting reports on maintenance performance.

Responsibilities

• Interpret governmental regulations and Laboratory policies impacting the maintenance program.
• Develop, monitor, and audit performance data and reports to ensure safety, quality, budget and schedule.
• Maintain databases and programs for performance measurements and status reports.
• Assist in implementing documentation systems and ensure compliance with records management and security requirements.
• Help evaluate processes, programs, and procedures for improvements.
• Coordinate, update, and support the maintenance work execution schedule.
• Adhere to Laboratory and industry regulatory guidance for maintenance and QA programs.
• If at MSS-3 level, lead or coordinate additional regulatory interpretation and training roles.
