Job summary

LyondellBasell Industries in Edison, NJ is seeking a Production, Maintenance Coordinator II to act as a gatekeeper for maintenance requests, prioritizing value, safety and reliability for the process unit.

You will work with the cost center manager to track monthly spending, approve discretionary spend, and manage headcount changes, ensuring timely planning and execution of critical jobs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, chemistry, or related technical field.
• Typically 5+ years of plant operations, engineering, or related technical experience.

Responsibilities

• Reviews call-outs and provides feedback and coaching to optimize maintenance resource use.
• Validates and documents scheduled break-ins.
• Creates and releases priority 1 orders during normal hours.
• Directs notifications to the Material Coordinator based on planning criteria.
• Initiates planning to ensure safe and timely completion of critical jobs.
• Communicates needs to maintenance supervisor and scheduler and negotiates schedule changes.
• Redirects minor maintenance to production when feasible to optimize resources.
• Reviews notification process for accuracy, timing, and adequate descriptions.
• Assigns notifications to Planning Priority list by required completion date.
• Reviews RFCs, cost approvals, or changes in start dates due to material/service needs.
• Manages backlog to keep high-priority value work on track and compliant.
• Eliminates duplicate/non-value-added notifications and ensures CNF on orders.
• Ensures reliability data is entered and PMs are executed as scheduled.
• Maintains routine maintenance backlog and participates in backlog reviews.
• Approves expediting and overtime to meet process-unit needs.
