MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Basic Function
- This position involves facility maintenance duties and customer interaction. Previous experience is preferred but not required. The individual must be able to perform tasks with minimal supervision. Other duties may include equipment service and general housekeeping tasks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance and cleaning tasks as per checklists and instructions from the facility manager/supervisor to ensure cleanliness and safety.
- Walk through the garage daily to identify and address maintenance issues.
- Clean entrances, exits, stairwells, and other surfaces using appropriate tools.
- Empty trashcans in all designated areas.
- Paint facility surfaces as directed to maintain appearance and cleanliness.
- Replace burned-out bulbs and apply oil absorbent to spills.
- Report repair or maintenance needs.
- Check safety equipment and ensure proper operation of gates and ticketing systems.
- Maintain inventory of janitorial supplies and keep records of maintenance activities.
- Operate equipment such as sweepers, scrubbers, and outdoor tools.
- Shovel, plow, or blow snow from designated areas.
- Report safety hazards or unusual occurrences promptly.
- Practice customer service principles to ensure satisfaction.
- Assist customers and resolve complaints as needed.
- Be familiar with all operational aspects and cover other roles as required.
- Maintain a professional appearance and uniform during shifts.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
