Job summary

ARES Corporation seeks a Maintenance Planning & Support Specialist for NASA's Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia to oversee scheduling, planning, reporting, and data management. The role requires close collaboration with maintenance management, supervisors, planners, and technicians to ensure work is accurately tracked and completed.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, analytical, and proficient in Microsoft Excel. CMMS experience (IBM Maximo preferred) is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Excel proficiency is required; ability to develop, maintain, analyze, and present maintenance data using Excel (formulas, pivot tables, lookups, charts, recurring reports).
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Detail-oriented with ability to maintain accurate records.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in maintenance, operations, manufacturing, facilities, aerospace, or industrial environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update weekly, monthly, and long-range maintenance schedules.
• Coordinate scheduled maintenance activities with supervisors, technicians, operations, and stakeholders.
• Monitor scheduled work to ensure proper planning, prioritization, and execution.
• Track maintenance work orders from planning through completion with accurate status updates.
• Assist with development of maintenance plans, schedules, and workload forecasts.
• Support preventive, calibration, and predictive maintenance activities.
