Job summary

Techo-Bloc seeks a detail‑driven Maintenance Planner to ensure every maintenance job at Rock Island, IL is prepared, scheduled, and recorded. You’ll turn requests into ready work orders, plan assets, and coordinate parts, safety, and downtime.

You will lead the weekly schedule, track progress, capture downtime data, and support multi‑site planning. This role reports to the Corporate Maintenance Planning & Systems Manager and may require occasional after-hours support.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance planning or coordination in manufacturing.
• Solid mechanical and electrical knowledge to estimate jobs and identify parts.
• Experience with a CMMS or ERP system (work orders, PM plans, parts, purchase requests).
• Strong organization and follow-through when juggling many jobs.
• Clear communication with technicians, supervisors, production, storeroom, and procurement.
• Comfort on the plant floor: reading nameplates, taking measurements, documenting equipment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Turn requests into ready‑to‑go work orders and review maintenance requests daily.
• Prepare every job before it’s scheduled: assets, instructions, labor hours, parts, tools, safety requirements, and downtime needs.
• Identify parts by item number, raise purchase requests early, follow up with procurement and storeroom, and stage parts before work begins.
• Build and run the weekly schedule by prioritizing ready work against labor and leading scheduling meetings.
• Track jobs in progress, clear roadblocks, and capture photos, data, and lessons learned on the floor.
• Close the loop with notes, labor hours, parts used, downtime, and raise follow‑up work as needed.
• Create job plans, checklists, PM plans in D365, maintain asset records and equipment documentation.
• Plan and scope annual shutdowns months ahead and prepare sites for contractor work.
• Report on schedule compliance, PM compliance, backlog, and MTBF/MTTR.
• Provide multi‑site support and share standards across sites.
