Job summary

Techo-Bloc designs and manufactures premium landscaping products and seeks a detail-driven Maintenance Planner for our Waterloo, IN and Rock Island, IL facilities. You will plan, prioritize, and optimize maintenance work across shifts, while coordinating with maintenance, production, and outside vendors to drive plant performance.

You will manage preventive/corrective maintenance, track ERP metrics, forecast parts inventory, and prepare requisitions.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing maintenance planning.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Ability to operate forklift, man lift and other industrial equipment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, D365 and Microsoft AX (highly preferred).
• Purchasing and vendor management experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical parts.
• Excellent planning and execution skills.
• Strong communication abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and with others toward a common goal.

Responsibilities

• Build maintenance schedules and generate work orders across all shifts.
• Own the preventive/corrective maintenance program and keep it optimized.
• Track department performance through the ERP system and report on key metrics.
• Manage vendor relationships — sourcing quotes, technical documentation, and pricing.
• Forecast and manage parts inventory (MRP) so the team always has what it needs.
• Estimate labor and parts costs, and adjust plans when equipment breaks down.
• Prepare purchase requisitions/POs and support parts room operations.
• Occasionally assist outside normal hours for urgent needs.
