Job summary

Alcoa is seeking a Maintenance Planner in Lake Charles, LA to support safe, efficient maintenance execution. You will develop and maintain schedules, coordinate labor and materials, and prepare work packs aligned with REX standards.

The role involves weekly planning, ensuring material readiness, and collaborating with maintenance, operations, and support teams. You will help optimize spare parts via kitting, coordinate with warehouse and expediting functions, and contribute to continuous

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work with maintenance, operations, warehouse, contractors, and management.
• Ability to plan, prioritize, and coordinate work across a complex schedule of maintenance activities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience reading technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance plans with scope, labor, materials, tools, and sequencing.
• Coordinate schedules for internal craft personnel, multi-craft teams, and contractors while balancing production goals.
• Maintain a forward-looking schedule and ensure materials are identified, procured, staged, and ready.
• Prepare work instructions, develop new work packs, and improve maintenance processes using feedback.
• Support weekly planning meetings and ensure alignment with REX standards and state targets.
• Ensure materials readiness, labor, and contractor support are organized before execution.
