Job summary

United States Sugar Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Planner to implement a maintenance control function that can identify and correct problems before equipment failure. The role plans and schedules maintenance work, coordinating with contractors and other departments, and uses CMMS, MS Project and CAD to drive reliability and cost improvements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education preferred.
• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience as a skilled tradesperson.
• CMRP certification or similar credentials preferred.
• Proficiency with CMMS, MS Project, MS Excel, CAD and SAP is highly desired.
• Ability to read, write and speak English; drug test and background screening required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule department maintenance, overhauls and outages using CMMS, MS Project, MS Excel and CAD.
• Develop, monitor and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Create reports and dashboards for management use.
• Coordinate with contractors, material handlers, purchasing, engineering and safety to develop job plans.
• Use metrics to track performance and update future plans.
• Communicate with vendors regarding price and availability of materials.
