Job summary

Domtar Corporation in Plymouth, NC seeks a Maintenance Planner to lead maintenance planning and support maintenance processes. You will collaborate with Engineering, Operations and Maintenance to meet Safety, Environmental, Quality, Production and Cost goals.

The role requires 5 years journeyperson experience or a technical degree, knowledge of maintenance trades and planning, and the ability to read prints. SAP knowledge is a plus; this is a full-time on-site position.

Qualifications

• 5 years of maintenance journeyperson experience or a B.S. in engineering or an associate degree in a maintenance-related field.
• Knowledge of maintenance trades and planning/scheduling.
• Ability to read prints and understand technical drawings.
• Detail-oriented with strong communication and vendor-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Meet safety, environmental, quality, production and cost goals of the department and mill.
• Plan safe and efficient execution of work orders; estimate labor, materials and duration; procure resources.
• Provide daily leadership to the maintenance team (area and shift maintenance).
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations and Maintenance.
• Develop maintenance processes and implement best practices.
• Meet budgets and ensure cost-effective operations.
• Provide training for and development of crew members.
• Manage the maintenance function to reduce equipment downtime.
• Lead change efforts as needed and maintain maintenance records.
