Job summary

Orion Castings is seeking a Maintenance Coordinator to support maintenance scheduling, work orders, parts coordination, and preventive maintenance tracking in a high-pressure aluminum die casting environment.

The role collaborates with Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, Tooling, and Purchasing to ensure safe, efficient plant operations and continuous improvement in equipment reliability and downtime reduction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree or technical training preferred.
• 3+ years of maintenance, manufacturing, or maintenance planning experience preferred.
• Experience in high-pressure aluminum die casting or heavy manufacturing preferred.
• Proficiency with CMMS, Excel, Outlook, and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily maintenance activities and technician assignments.
• Manage and track maintenance work orders in the CMMS.
• Schedule preventive and predictive maintenance for die cast machines, furnaces, robots, and cooling systems.
• Maintain maintenance records, downtime logs, and equipment history files.
• Assist in tracking downtime and recurring issues.
• Coordinate parts inventory and spare parts management.
• Coordinate contractor scheduling and safety compliance.
• Support maintenance planning during shutdowns and major repairs.
• Update tooling books and oversee tooling setup for production.
