Job summary

Northwest Hardwoods Inc. in Byron Center, MI is seeking a Maintenance Planner to support site leadership by generating a weekly maintenance schedule, organizing meetings, and ensuring open work orders are tracked.

You will create PMs in CMMS, maintain spare parts inventory, review downtime data with leadership, and help train staff on the CMMS system; a background in maintenance and proficiency with MS Office are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge, and experience in the field of maintenance is a plus.
• Experience with maintenance management software is a plus.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist site leadership and maintenance lead in generating weekly maintenance schedule.
• Plan for and take notes during weekly maintenance meetings.
• Print or email all open work orders for sites.
• Check for any reactive work orders.
• Close all completed work orders and review technician notes.
• Keep maintenance/site managers up to date on past due work orders.
• Create job tasks in CMMS.
• Create PM’s.
• Review downtime data with site leadership.
• Keep spare parts inventory up to date in CMMS.
• Assist in training maintenance on use of CMMS System.
• Build out and keep up to date work centers in CMMS.
• Have a high level understanding of mechanical equipment.
• Assist in tracking of site maintenance and safety metrics.
• Assist with other tasks as needed.
