ADM is seeking a Maintenance Planner and Scheduler in Fremont, NE to coordinate maintenance resources and develop plans ensuring reliable and safe operations in a manufacturing environment.

The role involves planning CM and PM work orders, scheduling maintenance groups with production, adding steps and hours to work orders, and maintaining Maximo-based inventory and KPI data. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

  • Two+ years of experience in Maintenance Technician, Planner or Scheduler in a continuous manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, and regulatory compliance is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing plant operations and maintenance practices.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • CMMS experience (Maximo preferred) and proficiency with MS Office are required.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and Schedule all work orders, CM (corrective maintenance) and PMs (preventive maintenance).
  • Coordinate with production leaders to improve labor resource efficiency.
  • Add job steps and work hours to CM work orders and ensure availability of equipment for maintenance.
  • Schedule preventive maintenance activities per best practices.
  • Maintain 100% compliance with required safety testing and KPI data entry.
  • Utilize Maximo to track work hours and inventory.
  • Review work orders before scheduling to ensure proper resources and permits.
  • Participate in weekly maintenance review meetings and lead discussions on open work orders.
  • Assist in outage planning with maintenance and engineering teams.

Education

Two-year technical degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Technology preferred

Job SummaryThe Maintenance Planner and Scheduler's role is to improve workforce productivity through the coordination and full utilization of all available maintenance resources. They are responsible for developing a plan that ensures efficient execution of reliability focused maintenance practices to ensure safe and consistent equipment and process operations in manufacturing.

Job DutiesPlan and Schedule all work orders, CM (corrective maintenance) and PMs (preventive maintenance)Schedule appropriate maintenance work groups by coordinating with production leaders to improve efficiency of labor resourcesAdd job steps and work hours to CM work ordersCommunicate to ensure equipment is available and ready for maintenance work to proceed and plannedSchedule appropriate time for preventive maintenance activities per best practicesPerform physical inventory of spare partsOrganize and track spare parts inventory, add items to MaximoMaintain 100% compliance with ADM required CSD (Critical Safety Device) testingData entry of weekly and monthly maintenance KPIsUtilize Maximo to drive accurate tracking of work hours and inventoryReview work orders before scheduling to have proper time, materials, crafts, tools, SOP creation, and permits allocatedActively participate in weekly maintenance review and response meetings. RequirementsTwo (2) or more years experience in Maintenance Technician, Planner or Scheduler role in a continuous manufacturing environment. Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, and regulatory compliance a plus. Strong understanding of manufacturing plant operations and maintenance practicesTwo-year technical degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Technology preferred; equivalent field experience considered. Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, extensive knowledge and experience with CMMS (Maximo preferred). Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively across maintenance and production teamsTraining and experience in industrial electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems preferredAbility to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting.Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc. with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including respirator when requiredAbility to work in elevated areas including, but not limited to platforms, and catwalksAbility to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written) ADM requires the successful completion of a background check.
