Job summary

MAC Incorporated in Clifton, New Jersey is seeking a Maintenance Planner to develop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs for the facility.

You will oversee CMMS, create work orders, monitor KPIs like MTTR, and coordinate with Production and Engineering to maximize asset uptime in a food manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of maintenance planning in a manufacturing environment.
• Food manufacturing or bakery experience preferred.
• Strong CMMS experience with Maintenance Connection, SAP PM, Maximo, or similar.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and coordinate preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
• Manage the CMMS system, including work orders, equipment history, and maintenance records.
• Develop and execute preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Coordinate maintenance priorities with Production, Engineering, and Maintenance teams.
• Manage maintenance inventory, spare parts, and storeroom operations, ensuring critical parts are available.
• Purchase maintenance parts and services while tracking purchase orders and vendor performance.
• Analyze maintenance KPIs, downtime, and equipment performance to drive continuous improvement.
• Coordinate equipment inspections and ensure compliance with safety and food manufacturing standards.
• Support reliability improvement initiatives, root cause analysis, and equipment optimization.
• Ensure technician compliance with assigned PM’s and communicate any non-conformance.

Strong experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) such as Maintenance Connection, SAP PM, Maximo, or similar

KEYS

• Develop and manage comprehensive preventive and predictive maintenance schedules to maximize asset uptime.
• Create, prioritize, and assign work orders to technicians, tracking progress from initiation to completion.
• Evaluate asset critically and resource availability to optimize daily operational schedules.
• Analyze KPIs (MBF, MTTR) to generate reports and deliver actionable insights for continuous improvements

The ideal candidate has strong experience in CMMS systems, preventive maintenance planning, maintenance inventory management, and manufacturing operations, prefersomeone withthe food packaging experience

Qualification

• 5+ years of maintenance planning, maintenance scheduling, or industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Food manufacturing or bakery industry experience is highly preferred.
• Strong experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) such as Maintenance Connection, SAP PM, Maximo, or similar.
• Experience in managing preventive maintenance programs and maintenance planning.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, conveyor, packaging, and production equipment.
• Experience managing maintenance inventory and spare parts.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Working knowledge of PLCs and industrial automation is a plus.
