Qualifications

  • Preventive maintenance scheduling experience preferred.

Job Purpose

Develop and communicate maintenance plans, including routine and preventive interventions, schedules, and resources—skills and materials needed to maintain installations/equipment and minimize production disruptions.

Pay Rate

65K-85K per year

Core Responsibilities
  1. Liaise with Production Planners to obtain production schedules, identify involved equipment, and plan for resources, skills, and materials.
  2. Review plans with Maintenance managers for accuracy and feasibility, consolidating into a master plan.
  3. Coordinate with Supply Chain Planners and Logistics to monitor inventory for maintenance activities.
  4. Calculate overall maintenance costs, including labor, materials, and services.
  5. Organize and update information for maintenance interventions (e.g., drawings, manuals, procedures).
  6. Identify deviations and communicate them per SOPs.
  7. Prioritize work requests based on urgency and type.
  8. Administer work orders, BOMs, vendor services, etc.
  9. Monitor and report on maintenance activities and costs versus plans.
  10. Maintain metrics and provide reports to management.
  11. Update work control and backlog status.
  12. Maintain audit documentation.
  13. Support resolution of production issues.
  14. Participate in lean activities.
  15. Adhere to all relevant safety and quality standards.
  16. Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Academic Background

Vocational diploma in Technical Engineering or related; Bachelor's preferred.

Professional Experience

1-3 years in mechanical/electrical roles within food or chemical manufacturing; preventive maintenance scheduling experience preferred.

Technical Skills
  • Knowledge of labor, materials, and skills estimation.
  • Familiarity with maintenance planning, scheduling, and storeroom processes.
  • Proficiency with computers and work order systems (SAP preferred).
  • Strong mathematical skills.
  • Project planning and management abilities.
  • Ability to read machine and process drawings, and provide clear instructions.
  • EMMS experience is a plus.
