Job description

SUMMARY:

  • Maintains, fabricates, installs, repairs and/or replaces, cleans and tests the facility piping, valves, heat exchangers, safety relief systems.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintains, fabricates, installs, repairs and/or replaces, cleans and tests the facility piping, valves, heat exchangers, and safety relief systems in accordance with applicable procedures and specifications.
  • Operate high pressure waterblasting machines.
  • Tests, repairs and calibrates facility relief valves
  • Utilizes electric, air and hydraulically driven tools and equipment.
  • Utilizes cutting equipment.
  • Rigs for lifting equipment.
  • Cleans up work area following completion of assigned job task and properly disposes of waste materials. Returns tools and equipment to normal storage areas.
  • Completes other routine or assigned duties as necessary to meet the maintenance department work schedule to minimize equipment downtime.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum four years industrial pipefitting experience for primary skill and attainment of qualifying skills in two additional maintenance crafts sufficient to assist other craftsmen in performance of their duties.
