Job Description

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Pipefitter Foreman to lead our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background, excellent leadership skills, and a thorough understanding of HVAC systems.

Summary:

Supervises, coordinates, inspects, and performs the assembly, installation, and repair of components, subsystems, and systems for the piping trade during the construction, tenant finish-out, or remodel of commercial buildings and industrial facilities.

Pay: $65 - $75 per hour

Schedule: 8-hour shift plus overtime

Duties:

1. Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of HVAC pipe installers
2. Oversee the installation of HVAC/R systems in commercial settings
3. Ensure all work complies with safety standards and regulations
4. Review schematics and blueprints for effective planning of HVAC installations or repairs
5. Provide technical guidance and support on complex HVAC issues
6. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
7. Train new employees on best practices for HVAC installation, repair, and safety protocols
8. Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Strong mechanical knowledge of HVAC systems, including installation, repair, and maintenance
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics related to HVAC/R systems
• Ability to build custom solutions based on project requirements
• Welding piping skills
• Familiarity with steam systems
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on efficiency and quality workmanship
• Strong leadership abilities and team management experience
• Effective communication skills for interacting with clients and team members
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Ability to access and navigate all areas of construction sites

Experience:

• HVAC: 10 years

License/Certification:

• Journeyman HVAC (Required)

Relocation:

• Lexington, KY 40506: Must relocate before starting work

Work Environment & Expectations:

• Some duties performed in an office environment; low to moderate noise levels
• At job sites, exposure to wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, high places, outdoor weather; noise often loud
• Requires physical presence at the branch office; some positions require flexible hours

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged standing and walking
• Lifting, pushing, pulling (up to 50 pounds)
• Reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching
• Sitting at a desk and working on a computer
