R+L Carriers is seeking a Maintenance Lead Technician to oversee building and common-area upkeep at our resort-style property in Wilmington, OH. The role blends hands-on maintenance with leadership, coordinating daily tasks and ensuring work meets high resort standards.

The ideal candidate has prior maintenance experience in a multi-property or resort setting, can guide a team, and maintain safety and quality while responding to after-hours issues.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the property to identify maintenance needs and report to Management.
• Serve as a working lead, prioritizing service requests and scheduling daily tasks.
• Ensure repairs meet resort standards through follow-up.
• Perform light maintenance tasks: painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, preventive maintenance.
• Train and guide maintenance staff on proper repair methods and safety.

Maintenance Lead Technician, Starting $23 pr hr

Full-Time

The Maintenance Lead is responsible for maintaining the buildings and common areas in the best possible condition for the property while serving as a working lead for the maintenance team. This role performs hands-on maintenance work and assists management by coordinating daily work activities, prioritizing service requests, and ensuring all work meets resort standards.

Major Job Duties / Responsibilities

• Inspect the property to identify units, systems, or areas requiring maintenance or repair and report work needed to Management.
• Serve as a working lead, assisting with prioritizing service requests and helping to establish daily work schedules to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
• Follow up on assigned work to ensure repairs and maintenance are completed efficiently, thoroughly, and in accordance with resort standards.
• Perform a variety of light maintenance duties including Painting, Carpentry, Plumbing, Electrical work, Preventive maintenance
• Assist with training and guiding maintenance staff on proper repair methods, safety practices, and quality expectations.
• Maintain pool chemicals, filters, pumps, and plumbing according to established guidelines.
• Assist with seasonal duties, including moving beach chairs and umbrellas to and from the beach when needed.
• Be available to respond to after-hours or emergency maintenance issues as directed by Management.
• Promote a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for guests, residents, and staff.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to move throughout the property in all types of weather conditions.
• Requires significant physical activity including walking, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, crawling, reaching above shoulder height, grasping, gripping, turning, and lifting.
• Must be able to frequently lift up to 50 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous maintenance experience in a resort, hotel, or multi-property environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, guide, or support other maintenance staff.
• General knowledge of building systems, equipment, and preventive maintenance practices.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
