Job summary

Regency Hotel Management in Rapid City is seeking a maintenance professional to perform major repairs and preventative upkeep, ensuring our hotel meets high quality standards and guest satisfaction.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, independence, and a willingness to learn in a hospitality environment. We offer medical and dental insurance, PTO, a 401(k) plan, life and disability insurance, hotel room discounts, and ongoing training and career development.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Hospitality experience preferred.
• AA degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred.
• Completion of a craft apprenticeship or equivalent preferred.
• Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Maintain pool area and exercise room.
• Keep grounds and entrances clean; remove weeds.
• Report problems affecting guest satisfaction.
• Keep storage areas clean and secured.
• Ensure adequate housekeeping supplies and linens on each floor.
• Verify exterior lights are working.
• Report and fix safety hazards throughout the hotel.
• Ensure inventory covers at least two weeks.
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain the pool area and exercise room
• Keep grounds clear of visible trash and clean the parking lot, sidewalks, breezeways, stairs, and entrance thoroughly, including weed removal
• Report any problems that would interfere with guest satisfaction
• Keep the storage area clean every day and lock all storage areas before clocking out
• Ensure that there are enough housekeeping supplies on each floor and there are enough linens & supplies in stock
• Verify that all exterior lights are working properly
• Report and fix any safety hazards throughout the hotel
• Ensure that the stockroom has sufficient inventory to last at least two weeks
• Other duties as assigned
