Job summary

Homewood Suites New Braunfels, TX is seeking a maintenance professional to perform major repairs and preventative work to uphold hotel standards and guest comfort. You will clean and maintain the pool area and exercise room, tidy grounds and entrances, stock supplies, report issues affecting guest satisfaction, ensure safety, and keep storage areas organized.

Prior hospitality maintenance experience and a high school diploma are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Hospitality experience preferred.
• Completion of a craft apprenticeship or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience preferred.
• An AA degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred.
• Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain the pool area and exercise room
• Keep grounds clear of visible trash and cleans the parking lot, sidewalks, breezeways, stairs, and entrance thoroughly, including weed removal
• Report any problems that would interfere with guest satisfaction
• Keep the storage area clean every day and lock all storage areas before clocking out
• Ensure that there are enough housekeeping supplies on each floor and there are enough linens & supplies in stock
• Verify that all exterior lights are working properly
• Report and fix any safety hazards throughout the hotel
• Ensure that the stockroom has sufficient inventory to last at least two weeks
• Other duties as assigned
