Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Maintenance Performance Leader for our Palatka, Florida mechanical maintenance team. You'll work with maintenance, operations, and engineering to shape short- and long-term strategies that improve safety, reliability, and performance of equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or higher.
• Three or more years of mechanical maintenance experience within a manufacturing, industrial or military environment.
• Leadership experience with responsibility for direct reports within a manufacturing or military environment.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Software such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Experience with reliability concepts and implementing precision maintenance techniques to improve equipment reliability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead a mechanical maintenance team by demonstrating strong leadership and best-practice habits.
• Manage and develop weekly schedules for mechanical maintenance crafts from planned work provided.
• Prioritize safety work orders and PMs; manage resources and work orders with clear prioritization.
• Investigate injuries and ensure incident reports and RCAs are completed with follow-through.
• Apply economic thinking to fill necessary resource gaps while maintaining reliability.
• Motivate and develop hourly staff to continuously improve individual and team performance.
• Collaborate with other MPLs to share resources across the mill for critical work.
• Foster and develop PBM-based culture across the organization.
