Job summary

Horseshoe Beverage Company LLC in Neenah, WI, is seeking a maintenance technician to keep our new facility and equipment running smoothly. The role covers preventative and predictive maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and startup participation.

This full-time position operates 5:45am–6:00pm on a 2-2-3 schedule, with base pay between $33.53 and $39.70 per hour and a benefits package.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree preferred in related field; HS diploma acceptable.
  • Ability to read, write and understand English is required.
  • Experience in food processing or packaging environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform day-to-day maintenance on facility, utilities (HVAC, chillers) and production equipment.
  • Develop and follow preventative maintenance programs; set schedules and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot PLCs, robots and other processors.
  • Support commissioning and startup of new equipment and products.
  • Collaborate with production to meet schedules and improve efficiency; identify root causes.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors; maintain documentation and CMMS records.
  • Assist in inventory management of spare parts; provide on-call support.
  • Maintain accurate data entry and record-keeping.

Position Overview:

This position is responsible for performing various duties to maintain operation of the facility and manufacturing equipment. Such duties include preventative and predictive maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and responding to equipment maintenance needs. Being a new facility, this position will have the opportunity to be involved in the startup and commissioning of new manufacturing equipment, products, and the development of the maintenance department, processes, and procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform day-to-day maintenance on facility, utilities including HVAC units and chillers, and production equipment including liquid processing equipment, thermal processing equipment, high pressure boilers with water treatment, conveyors, and high-speed packaging line equipment.
  • Assist in the development of preventative maintenance programs for critical equipment including performing preventative maintenance, determining scheduling frequency, and development of procedures.
  • Troubleshoot PLCs, robots, and other processors.
  • Support commissioning and startup of new equipment and products
  • Partner with production line operators to:
    • Meet production schedules by troubleshooting reliability issues and identifying root cause.
    • Teach basic preventative maintenance procedures and adjustments to settings to improve efficiency.
    • Assist in sanitation and reassembly process to ensure proper execution of procedures and minimization of downtime or changeover process time.
  • Identify process improvements resulting in cost savings, efficiency improvements, and quality or safety improvements.
  • Communicate and coordinate with outside vendors and service representatives, as needed.
  • Maintain proper documentation and record keeping, including data entry in computer system.
  • Assist in management of inventory of spare parts.
  • Provide on-call support, as required.
Qualifications:
  • Associate degree in a related field is highly preferred, high school diploma or GED required. Related technical training or education is strongly preferred.
  • The ability to read, write and understand English is required.
  • Food processing or packaging industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Understanding of food safety, workplace safety, and food quality standards is strongly preferred.
  • Previous maintenance technician or maintenance mechanic experience, preferably in a food, thermal processing, or similar manufacturing environment.
  • Electrical, automation and controls maintenance and PLC experience preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and experience using an CMMS system.
  • Ability to perform the physical job demands.
  • Self-directed, personally motivated with strong attention to detail.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, while focusing on meeting or exceeding customer expectations
  • Team player able to work well with others and contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Excellent attendance and performance track record
  • Ability to perform all essential functions of the position.
Hours and Pay:

This position works 5:45am – 6:00pm on a 2-2-3 schedule at our Neenah, Wisconsin facility. We offer a competitive base pay rate and comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, hear, use hands to type data, use a personal computer and telephone. This employee may occasionally have to operate business machines and lift and/move up to 50 pounds.
