Job summary

Trilliant Food & Nutrition is seeking a Changeover Technician to manage single-serve coffee area changeovers and perform basic maintenance to keep lines running smoothly. The role requires a high school diploma, strong mechanical aptitude, and experience in lean manufacturing within a food production setting.

The position works a 2-2-3 schedule at our Little Chute facility, with shifts from early morning to afternoon.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Lean Manufacturing experience and certification desired.
  • Previous experience within a food manufacturing environment is desired.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment independently.
  • Knowledge of basic GMPs and quality control guidelines.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

  • Review production schedule and identify changeover requirements; respond quickly to schedule changes.
  • Prepare and stage changeover materials and parts for next changeover.
  • Set-up, troubleshoot, disassemble, and clean equipment on multiple lines.
  • Provide production support and training to operators and team members.
  • Proactively implement lean manufacturing techniques to optimize processes and reduce downtime.
  • Maintain spare parts inventory and order supplies via P.O. system.
  • Keep accurate counts for change-over parts and audit locations for proper placement.
  • Communicate with Production Team Leaders and Maintenance Team Leaders to ensure efficiency.

Position Overview:

The Changeover Technician is responsible for single serve coffee area change overs. The role is also responsible to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair basic maintenance issues on the equipment within the area to run efficiently.

Responsibilities:
  • Review production schedule and identify change over requirements, while being agile and able to react quickly to changing situations and schedules.
  • Ensure change over materials and parts are prepared and staged for the next scheduled changeover.
  • Set-up, troubleshoot, disassemble, and clean equipment on multiple production lines.
  • Provide production support and guidance to Machine Operators and Assistant Team Members to reduce downtime and change over more efficiently through assisting and training.
  • Become proficient with lean manufacturing initiatives.
  • Implement lean manufacturing techniques to optimize machine processes to reach optimum product quality, efficiency, and process repeatability at the lowest cost.
  • Properly clean and store any secondary equipment.
  • Provide minor repair and replacement of secondary parts. ie. Minor Wexxar, Bel, GPI calls.
  • Estimate timing for repair through documenting work orders in AMMS.
  • Review manuals, blueprints, and supply catalogues to aid in troubleshooting.
  • Maintain spare part availability and order supplies through a P.O. system and follow up on delivery.
  • Keep accurate counts for all change-over parts, coffee tubes, etc. and audit each location to ensure proper placement.
  • Communicate and fully cooperate with the Production Team Leaders, Maintenance Team Leaders, and coworkers in all aspects of the jobs.
  • Coordinate with the Maintenance Team to ensure production is running efficiently.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to work overtime as needed.
  • Keep work area clean and shelving organized.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Lean Manufacturing experience and certification desired.
  • Previous experience within a food manufacturing environment is desired.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment independently.
  • Responsible for adherence of quality control guidelines and good manufacturing practices (GMP’s).
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently.
  • Knowledge of computer skills in basic MS Office suite.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English is required.
Hours, Location and Pay:

We offer a competitive-based pay rate and comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees. This role works 5:40 AM to 6:00 PM on a 2-2-3 schedule at our Little Chute, WI manufacturing facility.

Physical and Mental Demands:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, hear, use hands to type data, use a personal computer and telephone. This employee may occasionally have to operate business machines and lift and/move up to 50 pounds.
