Job summary

Easy Foods in Central Florida is seeking a Parts Room Attendant / Clerk to manage day-to-day MRO inventory, issue and track parts, and maintain accurate stock records in MaintainX. This role ensures technicians have the correct parts available to minimize downtime.

• 2+ years in a parts room, storeroom, warehouse, inventory control or purchasing role, ideally supporting maintenance or manufacturing.
• Working knowledge of inventory control: issuing/receiving, cycle counts, min/max levels and reorder points.
• Basic mechanical and electrical parts knowledge or willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Issue and track parts against MaintainX work orders; record all issues, returns, and adjustments.
• Maintain accurate inventory: part records, locations, quantities, suppliers, costs, and linked assets.
• Receive and store parts: verify against POs, record receipts, label and store parts correctly.
• Support reorder planning: monitor stock, generate reorder lists, raise purchase requests.
• Protect critical spares: maintain minimum stock, inspect spares, track repairable items.
• Support purchasing: create purchase requests/POs, obtain quotes, expedite orders.
• Prepare for planned work: kit and stage parts for PMs and shutdowns.
• Maintain GMP and food-safety compliance in the parts room.

Easy Foods invested in a state-of-the-art facility in Central Florida and equipped it with the industry’s most advanced machinery, complete with automatic rejection systems. We expanded our capabilities to include private label manufacturing, co-packing, customized branding, and sales and marketing support. We started out in this industry knowing that producing deliciously authentic tortillas, wraps, and corn chips on a consistent basis did not have to be so difficult. The Parts Room Attendant / Clerk is responsible for running the maintenance parts room and ensuring technicians have the correct parts available when needed. This role manages day-to-day MRO inventory control, including issuing and receiving parts, maintaining accurate stock levels and reorder points, protecting critical spares, and supporting purchasing to minimize equipment downtime caused by missing parts.

Responsibilities

• Issue and track parts: Issue parts against MaintainX work orders, record all issues, returns, and adjustments in real time, and ensure no parts leave the room without a transaction.
• Maintain accurate inventory: Keep part records, locations, quantities, suppliers, costs, and linked assets accurate in MaintainX.
• Receive and put away parts: Verify incoming parts against purchase orders, record receipts, label and store parts correctly, and notify maintenance when needed parts arrive.
• Support reorder planning: Monitor low-stock items, maintain min/max levels with the Maintenance Supervisor, generate reorder lists, and raise purchase requests.
• Protect critical spares: Maintain the critical spares list, ensure minimum stock is available, inspect stored spares, and track repairable items through rebuild or return.
• Support purchasing: Create purchase requests and purchase orders in MaintainX, obtain quotes, expedite urgent parts, follow up on late deliveries, and support invoice matching.
• Prepare for planned work: Kit and stage parts for PMs, planned maintenance, and shutdowns so jobs are ready before work begins.
• Maintain compliance and organization: Keep the parts room clean, organized, accurately labeled, and compliant with GMP, food safety, housekeeping, and foreign-material control standards.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in a parts room, storeroom, warehouse, inventory control or purchasing role, ideally supporting maintenance or manufacturing.
• Working knowledge of inventory control: issuing and receiving, cycle counts, minimum and maximum levels and reorder points.
• Basic mechanical and electrical parts knowledge (bearings, belts, chains, motors, seals, fasteners, fittings, sensors) or a strong willingness to learn it.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry.
• Comfortable with computers: CMMS or inventory software, Excel, email and mobile devices.
• Clear communication and organization skills, with the ability to handle several urgent requests at once.
• Ability to work overtime, shutdowns and occasional off-shift hours as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in food, beverage or pharmaceutical manufacturing under GMP.
• MaintainX or another CMMS experience (inventory, parts and purchase order modules).
• Experience with MRO suppliers and distributors (bearings and power transmission, electrical, pneumatics, fasteners, OEM parts).
• Purchasing or procurement experience, including quotes, purchase orders and supplier follow-up.
• Forklift or powered industrial truck certification.
• APICS / ASCM, CPIM or similar inventory or supply chain training.
• Ability to read basic equipment manuals, parts lists and drawings.
