Job summary

Waupaca Foundry in Tell City, IN seeks an Assistant Maintenance Manager to oversee installation, repair and upkeep operations, ensuring resources align with budget. You will supervise skilled trades, manage electrical, mechanical, hydraulic systems, and drive safety standards.

Weekend work and on-call support may be required. Responsibilities include planning repairs, overseeing staff, budgeting, contractor relations, and maintaining maintenance logs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; related technical degree is a plus.
• Proven leadership in a maintenance department.
• Experience planning maintenance operations.
• Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment.
• Attention to detail and reporting capabilities.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Willingness to adapt to a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation.
• Carry out plant inspections to identify and resolve issues.
• Inspect electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems for proper function.
• Plan and oversee repair and installation activities.
• Allocate workload and supervise maintenance staff.
• Assist in problem solving and troubleshooting.
• Conduct weekly inter-departmental meetings.
• Manage projects and monitor maintenance budget.
• Maintain logs and report daily activities, ensuring safety and compliance.
