Job summary

Waupaca Foundry, Inc. in Tell City, Indiana seeks an Assistant Maintenance Manager to oversee all plant maintenance, repairs and upkeep within budget. You will lead skilled trades and ensure access to the best resources, with strong knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems and safety compliance.

The role requires weekend work as needed and reporting to the Maintenance Manager. You will manage projects, vendor relationships, and daily operations to support production.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in a maintenance department.
• Experience planning maintenance operations.
• Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Working knowledge of facilities machinery and equipment.
• Computer savvy with ability to report activity.

Responsibilities

• Develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation.
• Carry out inspections to identify and resolve issues.
• Check electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems for proper function.
• Plan and oversee repair and installation activities.
• Allocate workload and supervise maintenance staff.
• Assist in problem solving and troubleshooting.
• Conduct weekly inter-departmental meetings and interviews.
• Manage projects and budgets for maintenance.
