Job summary

AdvanSix is hiring a Maintenance Machinist / Millwright for the Chesterfield Plant to repair and maintain mechanical equipment and ensure safe, continuous operations. The role involves equipment balancing, laser alignments, and heavy emphasis on preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Millwright journeyman card or 4+ years of maintenance experience in a chemical plant, refinery, or similar facility.
• Ability to read blueprints and repair manuals.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair pumps, compressors, blowers, fans, and gearboxes.
• Perform predictive and preventive maintenance and document work.
• Read manuals, schematics, and P&ID’s; update maintenance records.
• Support 24/7 plant operations with reliable maintenance and safety compliance.
