AdvanSix is hiring a Maintenance Machinist / Millwright for the Chesterfield Plant to repair, maintain, and optimize mechanical equipment and support 24/7 operations. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and hands-on troubleshooting across pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, and rotating equipment.
Qualifications include a millwright journeyman card or 4 years of maintenance experience in process industries, plus a high school diploma or GED.
Qualifications
- Millwright journeyman card or minimum 4 years of maintenance experience as a millwright/mechanic in a chemical plant, refinery, or similar industrial facility
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of mechanical system design, repair techniques and performance assessment
- Reading blueprints and repair manuals
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair pumps, compressors, blowers, fans, and gearboxes
- Perform lubrication, hydraulic, pneumatic, and vacuum maintenance
- Read manuals, schematics, and P&ID’s; perform predictive and preventive maintenance
- Work overtime as required and operate in an industrial plant environment
