Job summary

AdvanSix is seeking a skilled Maintenance Machinist / Millwright to service and repair mechanical equipment at the Chesterfield Plant. The role supports 24/7 operations, performing preventive maintenance and complex repairs on pumps, gearboxes, and conveyors.

Safety and adherence to procedures are essential as you work with rotating equipment and piping in an industrial environment. Qualified candidates will have a millwright journeyman card or 4+ years of maintenance experience in a chemical or

Qualifications

Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
Knowledge of mechanical system design, repair techniques and performance assessment.
Experience applying engineering practices to repair rotating and fixed plant equipment.
Ability to read blueprints and repair manuals.
Knowledge of OSHA regulations and ability to comply with OSHA procedures.
Ability to perform basic math computations.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair pumps, compressors, blowers, fans, and gearboxes.
Perform predictive and preventive maintenance.
Read manuals, schematics, and P&ID’s.
Provide daily support to 24/7 plant operations.
Willing to work overtime when required.
